Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Jeff has lived all over the United States (Kansas, Texas, New York, Maryland, North Carolina, California and Washington). During high school and throughout college, Jeff played polo while working for a polo player in Wichita, Kansas along with keeping up his showing activities on the Quarter Horse circuit. He has also enjoyed fox hunting and became involved with the hunter/jumper community while living in Maryland in the 1990's.
However, Jeff’s passion is and always has been his American Quarter Horses, which he has been breeding and showing primarily for western pleasure since 1983. Jeff has owned an AQHA Reserve World Champion, and he’s shown a number of AQHA superior and World Show finalists. He’s won national titles in both NSBA and AQHA competition, and he was awarded the prestigious AQHA Champion Breeder title in 1999.
Jeff’s show horses and pleasure prospects are currently located at Summitview Ranch in Graham, Washington where he is in training with Kristy McCann. Jeff is actively involved with the American Quarter Horse Association, serving on the National Marketing and Membership Committee and is currently serving as board chair for the AQHA Region One Scholarship Fund.
