Jeff was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri but has lived all over the country (Kansas, Texas, New York, Maryland, North Carolina, California and Washington). During high school and throughout college, Jeff worked for a polo player in Wichita while keeping up with his showing activities on the Quarter Horse circuit, and he became involved with the hunter/jumper community while living in Maryland in the 1990’s.
Jeff’s passion is and has always been American Quarter Horses, which he has been breeding and showing primarily for western pleasure since 1983. Jeff has owned an AQHA Reserve World Champion, and he’s shown a number of AQHA superior and World Show finalists. He’s won national titles in both NSBA and AQHA competition, and he was awarded the prestigious AQHA Champion Breeder title in 1999.
Jeff’s show horses and pleasure prospects are currently located at Summitview Ranch in Graham, Washington where he is in training with Kristy McCann. Jeff has been actively involved with the American Quarter Horse Association, serving on the National Marketing and Membership Committee, as board chair for the AQHA Region One Scholarship Fund and on the executive board of directors for the Washington State Quarter Horse Association. He is also a member of the National Snaffle Bit Association. To find out more about Jeff’s horse business, please visit Jeff Williams Quarter Horses.
